Fourty five club members were able to join our FB live stream on Friday 20-Mar-2020 to listen to a lecture by Dr. Melnik, MD, fully dedicated to Coronavirus, with a special focus on the situation in Minnesota. Dr. Melnik has lectured for about 45 minutes describing the disease, its origins, myths associated with the pandemic and more, and then took over 30 minutes to respond to multiple questions in live session. MMWC is very grateful to Tatyana Melnik for her dedication in combining the slides for lecture and the time spent to address people's concerns. We are hoping to repeat sessions on this topic depending on how COVID- 19 situation is going to evolve. Please stay safe and healthy!

The Club was thrilled to host it's third annual celebration of the International Women's Day, that took place on Sunday 08-Mar-2020 in Mort's Deli restaurant in Golden Valley. This event was unique since the program and the games were planned in its entirety by the club members' volunteers, who presented a hilarious performance. A total of 77 beautiful women have attended this event, all dressed in "Stilyagi" style - bright colors of the 60's. Mort's Deli provided a complete banquette lunch, which was followed by performance, games, deserts, ruffle and dances. We would like to thank the sponsors of our event: Pinot's Pallette studio for flowers and gifts, Anna Polley - the life couch for gift certificate, Patry Time for providing delicious desert, Russian Camp MN - Russian speaking summer camp for kids for the gifts, and Mariya Anderson - a professional photographer who sponsored the event as well as volunteered her photography services during the event.
